It is the season of giving and The House PDX is hoping to help support Rose Haven Day Shelter and Community Center this holiday season. “Rose Haven is a day shelter and community center serving women, children and gender non-conforming folks experiencing the trauma of abuse, loss of home and other disruptive life challenges.” They provide meals, clothing, first aid, mailing addresses, hygiene, restrooms, showers as well as educational programs and guidance through medical and social services. By meeting basic needs and building trust, Rose Haven empowers their guests to explore long-term change. We are continuing this support through the month of December.
For the Month of December we are asking members of The House PDX to donate the following items to be given to Rose Haven:
Reading glasses
Body wipes
Maxi pads
Deodorant
Blankets
Rain ponchos
Makeup (mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, eyebrow makeup, blush)
Shampoo
Conditioner
Body wash
Antje Fimmel will be doing a drop off on Monday, December 22nd to help these folks in need. If your heart feels called to this cause, there will be a drop off box in the lobby for you to put these items. Thank you so much in advance.
With gratitude,
Stacey Mastromonaco & Antje Fimmel
