The House is overjoyed to join the Cain family in their annual Back to School Supply Drive running August 1-11, as we come together to support local foster children with school supplies through the Oregon Department of Human Services.

Times are tough, and back-to-school shopping can strain already tight budgets. Almost half of local kids don't have all the school supplies they need at the beginning of the year. Not to mention that teachers often spend out of pocket to provide supplies to kids. This year is more important than ever to ensure we are able to send children back to school prepared to learn and feel a sense of dignity when they walk into their classrooms the first day of school. It is our goal to ensure every child in DHS care has the supplies they need to be successful when they return to school.

There are several ways you can donate:

• Drop off your school supply donations at The House during our business hours – look for the bin in the lobby area.

We believe every child should be able to attend the first day of school ready to learn without the worry of not having the supplies they need. Take a look a the list below and consider a donation today!
